Scheme of Assessment / Examination & Evaluation
- SPARSH SEGMENT-NURSERY, L.K.G. AND U.K.G.
Students will be assessed on the basis of the day to day performance. No formal examination or tests will be conducted forthem.
- JIGYASA SEGMENT -CLASSES I & II
- The syllabus in all subjects will be divided into two Terms.
- Students of Class I-II will be assessed on the basis of the TestWorksheet Cycles / Periodic Tests only.
- Periodic tests will be held in all the subjects accordingtotheschedulegiveninthealmanac.
- Satisfactory explanation for absence has tobegiven,failingwhichastudentwillbemarkedzerointhattest.
Evaluation will be based on student’s continuous academic performance during the year. The break up for the Periodic tests for Classes I to II will be as follows:
- Written Test : 20 marks
- Oral Assessment/Project Work : 3 marks
- Fair Notebook : 2 marks
Total : 25 marks
- Test Duration: 60 minutes.
The five-point grading scale for scholastics is as follows:

- Scholastic Areas:
- The school follows the evaluation scheme suggested by CBSE. The scholastic areas will be assessed through four Periodic Tests and two examinations i.e. Half Yearly and Annual.
- Periodic tests will be held for all classes, in all the subjects accordingtotheschedulegiveninthealmanac.
- Satisfactory explanation for absence has tobegiven,failingwhichastudentwillbemarkedzerointhattest.
- The academic year is divided into two terms-
First Term –Periodic Test 1 & 2 (including Subject Enrichment Activities) + Half Yearly Examination
Second Term – Periodic Tests 3 & 4 (including Subject Enrichment Activities) + Annual Examination
- The syllabus in all subjects will be divided into two independent Terms.
The break up for the Periodic tests for Classes III to V will be as follows:
- Written Test : 20 marks
- Oral Assessment/Project Work : 3 marks
- Fair Notebook and Homework : 2 marks
Total : 25 marks, Duration: 60 minutes.
- The Half Yearly and Annual Exam for each subject will be of 80 marks and 3 hours duration.

- Co-Scholastic areas:
Focusing on holistic development of students, areas including Art Education, Health & Physical Education and Work Education will be assessed at the end of the Term on a Three-point Grading scale (A- Outstanding, B-Very Good and C- Fair).
Discipline
The students will be assessed for the discipline based on factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour values, tidiness, respectfulness and attitude towards society/nation and others on a Three-point Grading scale (A- Outstanding, B-Very Good and C- Fair).

- MANTHAN-CLASSES VI TO VIII
Assessment scheme for classes VI-VIII is as per CBSE guidelines. The academic year is divided into two terms including Term-I and Term-II.
- Scholastic Areas:
Term-I includes Periodic Tests 1 & 2, Internal Assessment and Half Yearly Examination.
Term-II includes Periodic Tests 3 & 4, Internal Assessment and Annual Examination.
- Both the Terms will include Internal Assessment( including Periodic Tests , Notebooks and subject relatedactivity) weightage 20 % and Half Yearly / Annual examinations of weightage 80%.
- Periodic Tests will be out of 40marks and 90 minutes duration.
- .The Half Yearly and Annual examination for each subject will be of 80marks and duration 3 hours.
